Durham Opera Ensemble are proud to present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Magic Flute in English. Enter a mythical world between the sun and the moon, with a tale filled with adventure, romance and comedy as we follow the quest of Papageno and Prince Tamino in their search for wisdom and love.

Following the great success of Carmen and A Midsummer Night’s Dream DOE returns to the Gala Theatre with another fantastic opera. This is your chance to be a part of this year’s Gala show. Please bring a piece of no longer than 5 minutes to sing in your audition, an accompanist will be provided. You will also be given a range test and we will have a quick chat about your previous experience.


Tuesday 21st – Hatfield Chapel.
Wednesday 22nd – 10am-1.10pm: TBC. 1.50pm-3.30pm: Hatfield Chapel.
Thursday 23rd – 10am-11am: Concert Room. 11am-12pm: Lecture Room.
